Cocklefighting

What Cocklefighting is

A browser battle game about evolved shellfish. You raise one cockle, fight rivals in the Pit for experience and gold, spend that gold on gear, forging and magic, and climb a ladder of real players. Fights resolve instantly from your build, so the game is won in the choices you make between them: where your skill points go, which element you channel, which ward you wear, and what you sharpen next.

The places of the Shore and what happens at each
PlaceWhat happens there
The CoveYour own sheltered hollow on the west sand. Train your stats, hang your gear, count your gold and take stock before wading back out.
The PitA scooped hollow in the Shallows where every score on the Shore is settled. The sand at the bottom has never once been level.
The Hollow GrottoA sea cave at the cliff-foot, open only at low tide, where magic items are brought to be empowered. Mind the lantern. Mind Mother Murk more.
Shuckster's StallOld Shuckster's weathered stall at the edge of the Tide Pools. Every grade of weapon and shell, honestly priced and dishonestly sourced.
Anvilback's ForgeA driftwood smithy under the eastern cliffs, lit day and night. Anvilback hones weapons, tempers shells, and mends what the Pit has dulled.
The Tide PoolsWhere the veterans gather to trade stories and compare scars, and where Elder Silt scores the ladder of the Shore into its nightly order.
Jabber RockA barnacled rock in the west Shallows where every cockle has an opinion and most of them are shouting it. Gabby the rock warden keeps what passes for order.
The Bottle PostMessages come and go with the tide here, one corked bottle at a time, always sorted before they land. Corker the post keeper insists it is not him.
The TidemarkThe high-water stone on the east sand where the Shore's deeds are carved. Trumpet the shore crier reads them out whether you ask or not.
