Cocklefighting

Terms of Service

Back

These terms are the deal between you and Cocklefighting. By signing in and playing, you agree to them. We have kept them short and in plain English, because it is a game about fighting shellfish.

The game is free

Cocklefighting is free to play. There is nothing to buy. Gold, gear, magic items, trophies and ladder rank live inside the game only: they have no real-world or cash value, cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money, and may be adjusted as we balance the game.

Your account

You sign in with Google or a passkey. Keep that sign-in method secure, because anyone who can use it can play as you. One person should not hoard multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage (for example, to farm wins or plunder your own alt).

Fair play

Play the game as intended. Do not use bots, scripts, automation or exploits to fight, farm turns, rig the ladder or otherwise cheat. Do not try to break, overload or probe the game’s security. We may reset stats, roll back gains or suspend accounts that gain an unfair edge.

Community conduct

The forum, messages and cockle names are shared spaces. Keep it good-humoured. No harassment, hate, threats, spam, or illegal or sexually explicit content, and no impersonating other players or staff. We may edit or remove content and titles, and restrict accounts, to keep the seas civil.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post, but you grant us permission to store and display it within the game so other players can see it. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.

Availability

This is a hobby game provided “as is”. We may change, pause, wipe or shut down features, or the whole game, at any time, and we cannot guarantee it will always be online or that your progress will never be lost. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost progress or in-game items.

Ending things

You can stop playing and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.

Changes

We may update these terms as the game evolves. If you keep playing after a change, that means you accept the new terms.
